Code of Conduct
1. Respectful participation
Everyone attending a UK Conferences event is expected to treat other participants, speakers, staff and venue personnel with courtesy and respect. We welcome participants of all backgrounds and expect discussion and debate to remain professional, even where opinions differ.
2. Anti-harassment
We do not tolerate harassment of any kind, including but not limited to offensive comments related to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion or age; deliberate intimidation; stalking; unwelcome physical contact; or unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.
3. Event safety
Participants must comply with venue rules and any safety or evacuation instructions given by UK Conferences staff or venue personnel. Weapons, illegal substances, and behaviour that endangers the safety of others are prohibited at all UK Conferences events. Anyone whose conduct puts others at risk may be removed from the event without a refund.
4. Speaker and delegate behaviour
Speakers are expected to deliver content that is accurate, professionally presented, and free from discriminatory or offensive material. Delegates are expected to engage constructively during sessions and networking, and to respect time allocated for Q&A and discussion.
5. Sponsor and exhibitor conduct
Sponsors and exhibitors must represent their organisation accurately, keep promotional activity within their allocated space, and treat delegates, staff and other exhibitors professionally. High-pressure sales tactics, misleading claims and disruptive promotional behaviour are not permitted.
6. Reporting a concern
If you experience or witness behaviour that breaches this Code of Conduct, please report it as soon as possible to a member of UK Conferences staff on site, or by emailing info@ukconferences.net with "Code of Conduct" in the subject line. Reports are treated confidentially and taken seriously.
7. Enforcement
UK Conferences staff may take any action deemed appropriate in response to a breach of this code, including a verbal warning, removal from the event without refund, or a ban from future UK Conferences events. Serious incidents, including anything that may be unlawful, may be referred to the police or other relevant authorities.
